DATE CHANGE FOR THE PRD PAN-AM CROWN OF KARTING
PRD-USA and Vega-USA have announced a date change for
the PRD PAN-AM Crown of Karting event.
Due to unforeseen circumstances the promoters of the PRD
PAN-AM Crown are forced to change the original October
2014 date to summer of 2015. The new date for the race is
over the 4th of July weekend: July 3rd, 4th & 5th 2015.
PRD-USA & Vega-USA both apologize for the inconvenience.

Any SMKA Member planning to run any LAKC Races this season please contact info@smka.org at least one week prior to the
race for registration details.

Monthly SMKA Board Meeting
The
SMKA board of directors meet once every month to discuss club issues, schedules and planning.
All SMKA members are encouraged to attend. Each meeting is
held at the Santa Maria Airport board room @ 3249 Terminal Drive, Santa Maria, CA 93455 Meeting
starts at 7pm.

2014 SMKA Club Race Rules
The following Club Race Rules have been established
for the 2014 SMKA Club Race Season.
Club Race Day Tires Established
The 2014 Tire Spec tire is Vega FH for all classes except Rookie Comer and Jr. 1 2-Cycle run
Vega SL3 and Sr. Pilot Clone which will continue to run Duro
Vega tires can be found at your local kart shop or online retailers
such as Acceleration Kart Racing and Fastech
Racing
Club Race Day Fuel
All racers shall use either VP MS98 or "Pump Gas" - Oil is non tech.
Club Race Track Configurations
During regristration at each Club Race, racers will vote on the track configuration to run
for the following month's race.

2014 SMKA Memberships
SMKA Memberships are now on sale!
Memberships purchased are good through the end of 2014. Please visit the SMKA Membership Page for applications, rules, prices, etc. SMKAMembers receive unlimited access to the track for practice with no
per day fee and discounted rates at Club Races.

SMKA Open Track Days
Open Track Days are open to all karters (Members and Non-Members) and
spectators. Practice sessions are controlled between Junior and Senior drivers. Arrive & Drive is offered
at Open Track Days. Please nte Non-Driver Passes are only required for access to the Track, Scales, Tech and Grid Areas.
Non-Driver Passes are not required for Paddock Access.
As in previous years, no overnight camping
is allowed at the track. In addition, no equipment, trailers, vehicles, etc. may be left overnight.
All entries are subject to tech. at anytime. All entries will receive a pre-race safety
tech.
Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, roller blades, mini-bikes, golf karts, etc. are NOT allowed at any time.
Pets must be kept on a leash at all times.
